Emails aren’t sending

SMTP, from-domain, spam, and plan limits for campaigns.

  1. Connect SMTP under Emails (Gmail app password, SendGrid API key, Mailgun, or custom).

  2. Send a test from Confirmation or the SMTP wizard. If the test fails, the host/user/password/port is wrong.

  3. If tests work but donors do not get mail: check spam, and make sure the from email is allowed by that provider (domain authentication / SPF / DKIM on SendGrid or Mailgun).

  4. Email campaigns and automations require Starter or Growth. Confirmation receipts only need SMTP.

  5. Gmail daily sending limits are low — use SendGrid or Mailgun for larger lists.

  6. Open-tracking branches in automations may not run on pure SMTP; the builder warns when that step is unavailable.

Do not paste SMTP passwords into a support ticket. Describe the provider and the error message instead.
