Take the donate experience down
The most reliable way to stop new gifts without changing your plan:
Remove or unpublish the embed (and any share links) from your website and emails.
Optionally disconnect Stripe on Payments if you need checkout blocked everywhere — existing completed donations stay in the dashboard.
Do not delete a campaign just to pause it. Deleting is destructive; export Reports first if you need a finance copy.
“Fundraising paused” badge
Campaigns and widgets can show Fundraising paused. That usually means they are over your plan cap after a downgrade (or an interactive widget on a plan that does not include it).
When you change plans in Settings → Billing, you choose which campaigns and widgets stay active within the new limits. Unselected ones pause until you upgrade again or free a slot.
Paused items keep their history in Donations, Supporters, and Reports. They just cannot collect new gifts until fundraising is enabled again.
